HARRY POTTER and The Deathly Hallows Part 1, a review

The last 2-part Harry Potter movie, The Deathly Hallows… We were fortunate to watched it last weekend on IMAX at SM Mall of Asia. As expected, the huge fans of HP were there to join the mania..

The three HP stars were all grown-ups and made me realize how long this movie was stretching back in 2001. It’s been 9 years since Harry Potter and his friends started their Wizardry.

To summarize, this Part 1 of The Deathly Hallows HP sequel is not really as exciting as expected.. i have found it boring on some scenes, but i guess it’s part of the story because it’s not yet finished. There were a lot of revelations along the way, but still left a lot of mysteries for those who have’nt read the book, (like i do..)

The thrill and excitement will be hanged for a long time until the final cut will be shown on July of next year..

ENTREPRENEUR MAGAZINE

entrep

one of my favorite magazine is the “entrepreneur“. eversince i got interested onto business, i always make it a point to secure the latest volume of it. if i miss an issue, i always try to look for back issues on magazine stands.

i have always been a business minded gal, who is very frustrated to start my own business that will give me financial freedom and quality time to my family as well.

i want to be my own boss, just like its tag line. entrepreneur magazine shares a lot of success stories directly from entrepreneur themselves. they give strategies on how to become a successful businessman. and also they share their ups and downs during their struggle when they were just starting their hopeful business.

THE MERCK MANUAL

im not a book lover, just like others who always read books such as novels, etch. im interested though, on informative books, like “how-to” books and other stuffs like that, even magazines. when my youngest daughter, who is still a baby, about 11 months old now, had her first hospital confinement at the tender age of 2 months, i get curious about health, specially the health of my family. it was really heart-crushing when an IV needle was inserted in the tiny vein of my little one.

i became health conscious, so i bought a reference book on medicine, THE MERCK MANUAL.

i was reading the book while watching after my baby inside her private room in The Medical City, when her pediatrician noticed the merck manual. he was very delighted to see me reading that, and he told me that he used to read it while he was still in college as his reference book. he even asked me if i am taking up a medical course, because im reading it. he was very glad that i bought it to enrich my knowledge about medicine eventhough im not in their field.

the merck manual is like an encyclopedia and dictionary all in one, that defines a particular illness, its cause, and the proper medication for that certain disease..

i think every household, specially moms like me, must have this informative book. it will make you become aware of the basic medical terms and its meanings. this will help the physician-patient relationship be able to communicate in layman’s term versus the not-so patient friendly medical terms.

you should secure one now, it costs around less than 500 bucks. not bad for the information benefits that you could get!

DEBT HELP!

What a great morning for everyone! it’s been a hard week for me though but thank God that i’ve managed to survive. i was reading this book, “till debt do us part” by chinkee tan, and glad he made me feel lighter now.. i would really recommend this book to everyone specially nowadays, that recession is everywhere.. we need to manage our finances wisely to be able to survive the battlefield of the economic crisis.
Furthermore, this book will bring you closer to God, and appreciate everything He did for us, and to know the real value of money and saving.
