I Love HONEY!

I’ve always been a honey lover. I use it for my beauty regimen, and mostly I eat it! I’ve tried some brands of honey, both local and imported. But this one that I’ve bought in a supermarket is really good.
CEMS Honey from Palawan. It has a simple packaging, a small transparent plastic jar where you’d be able to see the clear golden color of it.
When it comes to taste? Superb! It can be compared to some foreign brands. It’s not super sweet, and doesn’t have a sour after taste.
I’ve found a perfect partner for my pancakes and salad! Try this out! Available in all leading supermarkets. :)

ANGRY BIRDS

After the phenomenon of Plants VS. Zombies by PopCap, there comes another addicting game for me and for most people who uses iPhone and iPad.. It’s ANGRY BIRDS! Created by Rovio as a mobile game app.

Haha! count me in! I’m part of those who can’t get enough of this simple yet quite hard computer game. Oh well, for those who have no idea what’s the game all about, here’s a quick overview.

Angry Birds is a sketch of stylized wingless birds that is being used to launch the slingshot that targets the pigs, monkeys and other animals stationed in different structures. Its aim is to destroy the structure and the animals on it. As the game progresses, the stunts becomes harder and would really make the player so frustrated in destroying the animals and structure formation.

There are also promotional versions of the game, like the RIO movie version. Angry Birds is available in App Store and other touchscreen based smartphones, also in Android OS. You would definitely like this game app!

NICE, MERALCO!

It was not so long ago, when i experienced one of the best customer service from a utility company in one of their branch. I just want to commend their good service to their customers so, they deserve a nice review here in my blog.

I was with my eldest daughter, a seven-year old kiddo when i went to Meralco’s Calamba branch to pay for our electricity bill. There were long queues for each counters, so i kinda got irritated because i hate waiting. Much to my surprise, a customer service lady approached me and told us to go to the “express lane” because I am a customer who’s with a child. The personnel told me that the express lane is for customers who has a child with them and also for senior citizens and pregnant women. So, i feel good that i dont have to wait for the long queue to pay for the bill, and in just 2 minutes, I’m done!

I hope that all of Meralco’s customers would be able to experience that convenience when needed and of course if eligible. Other utility companies should follow that practice too. ;)

SM City Calamba Grand Opening

It was a TGIF, when SM City Calamba had its grand opening located along the busy road of Real. i remember when i blog about it back in December 21, 2009 where it is still on its first month of construction. I am totally impressed about SM’s wikipedia info of its target opening date, which is October of 2010 because they absolutely hit it!

Of course, how can i miss that opening? our house is just 5 minutes away from the mall.. though we were’nt able to get our feet stepped in as early, atleast we managed to. ;) The people were so overwhelming, and a huge foot traffic covers all the floors of the mall. It’s like we’re on a rally or something.. like an Edsa revolution, where we cant barely move as we try to walk around.

Worst thing? It took us ages to get a table to eat, because all of the food places were jampacked! customers should even have to wait for the long queue of the restaurants just to have lunch. it’s like everybody was there!

But then, good thing that we were able to meet and have a photo with the Honorable Laguna Governor Goerge “ER” Estregan Ejercito. He was so nice, friendly and always smiling. And the best thing? He smells sooo good! ;)

There were a lot of kids who’s with their families, students from different schools, flocks of teens who wants to be there. There were super big LCD monitors used for the store presentations that can be found on the front entrance and on the trade hall area. Some establishments are not yet open, but most are ready to serve you! The other building is still under construction, which will be the SM Cinema and Cyberzone area. Heard that it will be a 10-theatre cinema, but it was not yet confirmed. it can be possible because the building is huge only to cover a cinema and a tech hub. That will be a great news for a movie fan like me! and a tech junkie!

What im not impressed about is the SM Calamba’s parking area. As we all know, SM is known for being a great parking space provider. But, they did’nt managed to bring much area enough for the customers with vehicles. That’s the main dilemma of SM Calamba. I just think that, maybe because of these two reasons: First, they did not expect that there will be many customers that owns a car in this place. Or second, their parking space is limited only by the lot that they have acquired. We also dont know, if there will be future plans of extending the parking area, because the building 2 is still under construction. So we’ll just have to wait and see.

Anyway, the whole weekend of SM Calamba’s opening was a BIG BANG! Everyone’s excited, everybody’s happy! Because finally, SM got it all for Calamba! ;) ;) ;)

RYUMA Japanese Restaurant

it was mother’s day, and as what we enjoy doing, we celebrated it with a fantastic dinner, from the new opened Japanese restaurant in Paseo de Sta. Rosa.. RYUMA Restaurant!

it is operating only for a month now, and surprisingly they are doing so well when it comes to “patrons”.. this restaurant caters an authentic Japanese cuisine that will surely attract more and more diners from any race of any kind..

i love the interior design of the whole restaurant, as well as the accommodating greetings coming from their staff, with a Japanese language. as we enter their sensor door, which opens as soon as it “senses” customers, we were stunned by the hip yet eccentric look of their floor layouts, as well as their table settings!

some tables have wooden seats, and others have comfortable couches.. with a black and white theme, their metal framed tables and marbled table top makes it so appealing to dine.. and their lighting is vibrantly bright!

there are two flat screen TV’s mounted on the wall for entertainment but only Japanese programs are being showed. they also have a “gig bar” which i think serves as their additional entertainment for live shows enthusiasts.. the whole place is furnished with Japanese statues, that looks like soldiers wearing an armored attire.

on their table setting, a warm towel is assigned in each person, which comes with a cold tea.. a Japanese eggplant, which tasted like “pinakbet” served as their appetizer, followed by slices of pickles and buttons of onion.

food wise, they are superb in bringing the best about the authentic Japanese dishes, and hard drinks that made us try their SAKE, which i can compare locally to a “GIN”. they are known for their raw foods, such as fishes and sea veggies. their MISO soup is extremely invigorating to drink while it’s hot.

as our main dish, we ordered the TOKUSEI, placed in a “kalesa”-like container. it has the assortment of raw fishes and veggies, and a sticky Japanese rice topped with herb green leaves, cut in strings.

another one is their MIXED NIGIRI, bite-sized rice covered on top by assorted raw fishes and pink salmon altogether. the distinctive flavors lightened up by the slices of lemon, included in the platter. their banana shake is also good that served as our “chaser” while having some shots of SAKE..

it was a fun-filled dining experience which made us appreciate the Japanese cuisine more and more.. and as their compliment on mother’s day, every mom was offered with a Japanese flower as a lovely gesture..

you may try to dine at RYUMA Restaurant, it’s cheaper than you expected.

WHEN PROBLEM BECOMES A PROBLEM

In times of trouble, how do you survive? How do you deal with the problem that comes into your way? Are you the “passive” type? Or the “active” type? From the famous tagline, “different strokes for different folks”, we deal and treat with our problem depending on our capacity to think and analyze things.

There are 2 kinds of problems, the unexpected and the foreseen. Problems that happens accidental and is beyond our control can be categorized as the “unexpected problem”. These are scenarios that  just pops out suddenly in our life that we cannot do anything but to deal with it. An example of it would be, a loss of a loved one, a demise. Although all of us are expected to die eventually, but we don’t  expect it to happen soon! So when it happens, although it’s painful, we must deal with it.

The next kind of a problem is the foreseen. Well, we don’t need to be like Nostradamus, or a psychic to predict things to happen. Actually, in reality, most of our problem falls in this category. We tend to do things that are not very well thought about before executing it. If you may notice, there are problems that happen in our lives which should not be happening at all. Because of our carelessness, and passiveness to a potential problem that may occur, it evolves into a certified “mind-bugling” scenario without us noticing it. Then there goes the problem.

Another tagline, “paralysis of the analysis”, when you keep on thinking about a certain situation, that suspends your decision, the execution just hangs in somewhere. You cannot figure out a certain direction that will lead you to decide whether you want to do it or not.

Thinking three steps ahead before making a decision would be the best tool to come up with a great outcome in decision making. It’s like a chess game, that every move you make is three steps ahead of your goal. It is like preventing a potential problem to happen. If you can make yourself to have that kind of ability, life will be so easy. And you would have a lot more time to enjoy it, rather than spending most of your time in thinking about your problem and the solution to it. As we all know, PREVENTION is better than CURE.

Life is what you make it! Why not make it fulfilling and happy. Life is too short, people! (^,-)

BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

When i was a little child, my mother used to sell a lot of different items to our relatives, neighbours and even to my father’s employees. Even my father used to try different businesses at home, making us work there during weekends. We were raised by business minded parents, for which we thought at that time, was just their hobby.

Everyone in us has the urge or has a potential in making money from having our own business. Even the low income earners, has the ability to sell their goods and make money from it. Just like the street vendors, they sell everything that’s viable and usable to the commuters around them, because they already have a market on the streets.

When you sell and earn profit from it, you’re already in business. Regardless of the amount you have as a capital for as long as you’re getting an extra amount from the original price of your goods, it is considered as business.

There are a lot of SME’s ( Small and Medium Enterprise ) in the Philippines, and a sari-sari store would be a best example. When your store is located in a high foot traffic location, or in a community where consumers are in a high rate, your store can go a long way, and can even sustain the needs of your family, that can be totally your means of income.

In business, there are a lot of key points to be able to succeed in whatever industry that you choose to cater. But the most essential yet the simplest equation that a business must have, is the ability to earn money and make it constantly profitable. SALES-CAPITAL=PROFIT, is the basic equation in business. If you’re gaining a positive PROFIT, then we can say that you are in business. If your PROFIT doubles your CAPITAL, we can say that you are in a good and profitable business, for which you must maintain that rate to be able to earn and make it your means of income.

For me, real life is in business. Being an employee in a company does not mean that you’re living in a superficial life. It just suspends your potential to earn more and be your own boss. You only receive a fixed amount of  income per payday, and your money just end there. After payday, you spend it either for your personal or family maintenance, and the next thing you know, your money is gone! Then you will have to wait for the next payday to earn money again, to do the same. It’s like a “hand-to-mouth” cycle, that for some, it’s even worse because they cannot even meet both ends.

But when you put into your system that you need to earn more, you will tend to think of other alternatives to generate income. The best thing would be is in entrepreneurship. Yes, doing business the right way.

It’s the most challenging venture of all time! BUSINESS and ENTREPRENEURSHIP. Now what’s the difference of the two? Well, business is a general term for any agenda in any industry. Entrepreneurship is the specific term in the equation, SALES-CAPITAL=PROFIT! When you are in this equation, and literally practicing it, you are already an ENTREPRENEUR.

When you become an entrepreneur, you will see and experience the REALITY of life. You will be the driver of your automobile, you’re in charge, you’re in control. But it does not end there. A big and major responsibility will be given to you by your employees, and your consumers. You will learn a lot. Actually, the things that you’ve thought before was so simple, when you become an entrepreneur, it becomes complicated. The success of your business is in your hands. How you manage to motivate your employees to bring the best customer care, and how you please and satisfy your customers would be your everyday saga in order to keep it moving UP and being in the market sustainably.

I encourage all the casual employees to start doing business in entrepreneurship, NOW. If you’re earning from it, then we can say that welcome to the CLUB!

Capricorn Horoscope for January 2010

This could prove to be a turning point month when much will be revealed and a new life chapter will start to shape up before your eyes. Two eclipses are due this month, the first, in your opposite sign of Cancer, putting the emphasis on a close partner of yours. The second one will be a new moon solar eclipse, and will appear in Capricorn, underscoring your own needs and dreams for the future.

That second eclipse of January 15 will be a wonderful blessing and will give you energy and a new sense of purpose. You will be of clear mind and spirit and will likely be elated by the unexpected opportunities that come up. Let’s have a closer look at all that is due this month, for clearly, you will be in the center of all that happens.

On December 31 or January 1, depending on your geographic location, the full moon lunar eclipse will occur in your opposite sign of Cancer, highlighting one key partnership or marital matter. A while back you may not have known you’d ever have to decide the matter that will come up for decision now, but eclipses often bring surprise news or else they speed up timetables in a way that forces us to make decisions much sooner than we ever thought possible.

The results of this first lunar eclipse will depend on how your relationship had been proceeding until now. However, having said that, you may not be aware of all that has been going on, perhaps in secret. Eclipses will always reveal hidden truths.

Sometimes they reveal joyous, positive feelings that had been hidden deep within the heart of your partner. In that case, some Capricorns will get engaged or married for New Year’s. Or, if you planned to marry eventually, something may happen that causes you to speed up that timetable dramatically.

Here’s an example. Let’s say you planned to marry in two years after you’ve saved for a house, but on the eclipse your partner is transferred to a distant foreign city – you’ll want to go together and marry now!

The moon also rules your domestic condition, so you may move or see a change within your family. For example, you may welcome a new baby or see someone leave your household, say, if an older child goes off to college or when a roommate moves out to get married.

Although it’s hard for me to say this, I will admit that some Capricorns will break up or file for divorce as a result of the lunar eclipse December 31-January 1.

Although the two possible outcomes that I have described (marry or split) are quite opposite, they are united in one important way. Your alliance will be clarified and that will allow you to move forward in a productive way.

If your birthday falls on December 31, or within five days of this date, you will feel this eclipse most directly. If you were not born near this date, you may not notice the effects of this eclipse very much at all.

Eclipses usually illuminate their messages with a fairly casual comment or random event that comes in from the outside world. This news usually reveals quite a bit about the situation. Afterward, you will feel changed by what you learn. In that way, eclipses bring on a kind of rite of passage that brings us to a whole new place and that provides us with a brand new perspective. They require decisiveness, however – there never is a chance to go back to change things to the way they were before.

When you walk over the bridge, once you are safely on the other side, the bridge will collapse or disappear in some way – there will be no route back to where you started. If you break up, don’t try to come together again after an eclipse – it never works. Eclipses are non-negotiable events. Protect your dignity and move forward. If you don’t feel comfortable with life as you find it in the months ahead, you can make more changes as you move forward later, but you won’t be able to go back again.

The matter may not be fully crystallized by January 1, but it appears that you do have a plan. Saturn will begin to go retrograde on January 13 until May 30, so talks or plans may proceed slowly. I love January however, in that many planets – Venus, Mercury, Pluto, the new moon, and Sun – will be in your sign, Capricorn, and all of them will fiercely protect your interests. This is a good month for you, dear Capricorn, especially from January 16 on.

The second eclipse will be quite thrilling. It’ll be the official start of the movie that is all about you, and where you will have the staring role. A new moon solar eclipse in one’s own sign always marks a big turn of events for the better, but especially so if your birthday falls within five days of the date the solar eclipse arrives, January 15.

Sometimes, however, an important man in your life leaves your immediate surroundings forever as a result of a solar eclipse. I say a man because “solar” or “Sun” is usually male in astrology. In that respect, you have to remain flexible, but it could be a boss you never liked who is leaving, or a deadbeat lover who never treated you well.

Overall, the January 15 eclipse will be a wonderful development and help you set your life on much more stable ground. Uranus, the planet of surprise that is known to strike like lightning, will send a perfect beam to this eclipse, so the developments that come up should make you very happy and will leave you speechless. Watch what happens in the days that follow January 15.

Mercury will be retrograde in Capricorn as the month begins, so after the January 1 lunar eclipse delivers its news, spend the rest of the first half of January working on your blueprints and perfecting your plans. Take time to assess all your assumptions, for you may find something’s off.

When you are ready, but not before January 18, press forward. If you act on or after that date, you will have the powerful solar eclipse behind you to help you get the results you’re after.

If you have no romantic partner (nor any business partner either, for as said this could affect your business partnership), then you may not feel the December 31-January 1 lunar eclipse very much at all. You may meet someone new after the second eclipse though, after January 15, and that’s an exciting possibility. It would be the perfect time to meet someone intriguing too, for that eclipse will open a whole new path for you.

Venus will be in Capricorn from January 1 to 18, making your charms very visible at just the right time, birthday month! If you want to take any major steps to improve your looks, I would suggest you schedule salon and barbershop visits for on or after January 17. By that I mean radical changes – little grooming treatments and hair trims can be done at any time.

In terms of your most romantic dates, if you are single and unattached, or attached and in a good strong relationship, these dates will be your best for love: January 6, 7, 9, 12-15, 18-19, and 22-24.

Now and in coming months, protect your health. Sometimes when eclipses come by in one’s own sign, as is the case for you this year, a health matter will arise that needs attention. The universe does this to help and protect you, dear Capricorn. If you feel that something is not quite right with a part of your body, make a doctor’s appointment, and don’t wait for it to go away by itself. All medical concerns are best treated immediately.

The fact that you may be noticing something near an eclipse is significant, so don’t wave it off and assume it will clear up without your intervention. You have beautiful support this year from Jupiter, a planet not only known for good fortune, but for its healing properties, too. Jupiter will form what is called a “sextile” to your Sun this year, considered an aspect denoting opportunity. You need to take action to unlock Jupiter’s goodness, so if you need medical advice (or even a second opinion, also favored), don’t delay!

Now let’s turn to your finances.

Money has been going through your fingers ever since Mars entered Leo in mid-October, for your expenses have been high. Now that Mars went retrograde on December 20, they may have temporarily slowed down, but with Mars due to go direct on March 10, to stay in your house of credit until June 7, you will need to keep an eye on the outgo.

Last year – 2009 – you seem to have made a good income, but now that Jupiter, the great benefic, is about to leave your earned income sector, earning as much or more may become more challenging. This may be true for a number of reasons, ranging from the recession to your lack of desire to prove you can make a lot. You may feel that you’ve “been there, done that” and will be more interested in finding satisfaction in other areas of life.

Looking at your chart, it appears that your money has been going into your home or other property. You may be buying a home, or fixing one up. It is also possible that you are writing checks to help a family member, perhaps an elderly parent.

This month, on the full moon, January 30, you will crystallize some sort of financial settlement. This full moon will be aligned with Mars, so it will require some sort of decisive action.

Travel will also become a lovely diversion from now on, for Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will move into your third house of short distance and learning. You will be on the road quite a bit in 2010 for any number of reasons, ranging from having a love relationship in a nearby town to having to work to see a good client based in a town a short drive away.

Your sister or brother may help you in some way from now on, and you may even go into business or buy real estate together. This year, that would be a good idea to investigate.

it is located at Maharlika Highway, Brgy. Real, Calamba City, Laguna, Philippines. it will be the second SM Supermall in the Province of Laguna with a land area of 195,000 sq.meters, and bigger than SM City Sta. Rosa.

it has 3 floors, having its main anchors such as SM Department Store, SM Hypermarket, SM Cinemas and SM Foodcourt with its junior anchors such as, ace hardware, toy kingdom, national bookstore, watsons, SM appliance center, and Our Home!

it has a 300 plus capacity of shops on stores and services, which the number of tenants is still to be announced.

Residents of Calamba will be very glad to have it here, and its neighboring towns as well.. it will bring more jobs to all the local jobseekers here!

At the very start of the month, you will be busy getting a project ready to ship out the door. The full moon December 2 will fall in your workaday sector, and team energy from co-workers and underlings will be high. You may not have to do all elements of the project yourself, and if you do have help, everyone will work together quite seamlessly.

This full moon will be in Gemini, the sign of “two,” so you may have two projects to finish up or two different clients to please. With Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, in hard angle to Saturn, you may be working feverishly to get it all done by the deadline, which appears to be December 2, with a possible extension to Friday December 4, or possibly beyond that, to Sunday December 6, at the very latest.

Make sure all details of your project are polished and in good form, for it appears higher ups will be watching your performance. Gemini is a sign associated with communication, so you may be handing in a report, manuscript, or white paper, or you may give an important speech or consultation. With Saturn at the very top of your chart, you will soon be singled out for more responsibility and a bigger job title, a fact you may have already been told last October or soon will discover at the full moon at end of March. Everything that bears your name needs to be the best it can be, for so much of the future of your career will be riding on your ability to keep the quality of your work high.

Someone who is influential and powerful and found at the higher echelons of your company or industry seems not yet convinced that you can handle the new position that most everyone else have mapped out for you. This Doubting Thomas will be willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you have to do your part by putting your best foot forward. This aspect – Saturn in the tenth house – only comes by once every 29 years, and just started. It will be in place until October 2012. The theme of health and well being will also be highlighted this month, too. The work you will be doing during the first week will take a lot out of you, so if you feel a bit tired, pull back and get extra rest afterward. If you were to see a lowered resistance, it would be within days of December 2.

The pace is going to slow down quite a big when Mars and Mercury to go retrograde later in the month, and the good part of that will be that your schedule will open up a bit. Here’s your chance to have certain checkups done before year’s end. Have your eyes examined, and cholesterol, hemoglobin, and blood pressure checked. Get your teeth cleaned, and women who have not been checked lately should have a mammogram or pap test. There are many exams that are wise to have done – you know them – so if you haven’t done them in a long time, schedule them now.

December will be an important month for you, and yet you won’t see the truth of this immediately. Aside from the project that you will finish in December’s first week, things will seem quiet. As the Sun moves through your most private and reflective part of your chart (your twelfth house) from December 1 to 21, you may want to retreat from some of the frenzy of social activity. You will have plenty of invitations at month’s end, so you won’t miss any important romantic moments if you do.

You are nearing birthday month, and you will want to think deeply about how life has been going so far, and decide what changes you need to make in the year ahead. During that phase during the first three weeks of December, all the most important developments will take place within you, not from the outside.

This theme will be reinforced by the new moon December 16, a time when it will be wise to listen to your intuition, even against any facts you are given this month, which won’t always be all that reliable.

From December 14 to 16 Uranus will be at hard angles to the Sun and new moon, and not very friendly to Venus, so there will be jarring elements that come into play out of the blue. Career, money, and relationships are all areas that will need special tending, and that’s a lot. You’ll need to keep your wits about you.

You will need to enlist help from family and friends – or a helper you hire – with shopping, cooking, and other holiday activities. There is a possibility that your sister, brother, cousin, neighbor, or other relative will need you when a crisis hits. This is one year you won’t want to leave everything to the last minute, for if you do, you’ll be overwhelmed and sinking fast, with not enough time to complete your list. As they say, “It takes a villageÉ” and in your case, it may take a whole nation to complete what you have to do this month.

Money has been on a blinking light since mid-October, and with Mars wild in your eighth house of credit, mortgage, and other funding, you may be seeing your balances on credit cards or loans rise higher than any you have seen in recent years.

This month Mars will be retrograde from December 20 to March 10, so you may be able to pull back a bit. Because Mars is the natural ruler of your solar fourth sector of home and property, your plans to buy, sell, renovate, paint, redecorate, or to attend to a family matter may need to be tabled until after Mars goes direct March 10. That would be a wise idea, and there are other reasons to put off big decisions now.

Mercury will go retrograde in Capricorn from December 26 to January 16, so you’ll be dealing with delays and indecisive people. Just laugh when life goes haywire because everyone of every sign will be in the same boat.

Mercury’s slowdown will become very apparent as soon as December 9, due to a mathematically significant phase it will reach then, so you need to be done shopping by that time. Shop for electronic items very early in the month, as far from Mercury retrograde as possible – even before December 9 – as Mercury rules moving parts in machines. If you purchase an electronic item later, it may never deliver the pleasure and the promise you once hoped it would, for yourself or your recipient.

One day when financial talks should go exceptionally well for you will be December 10, thanks to the cheerful cooperation of the Sun and Mars. Confidential talks with your banker, broker, or prospective new client should go well. When the topic is money, December 10 will be one of your best days.

Almost as good will be December 17, when you may receive a gift or check, thanks to the kindness of someone who cares about you or loves your work. Venus and Mars will be cooking up a lovely day and you may benefit.

Now let’s turn to your private life, for a relationship will be very much on your mind at month’s end. Things will go either very right or very wrong at the end of December, and when they do, news will seem to come as quite a surprise.

A full moon lunar eclipse is due on December 31 in your opposite sign of Cancer. Because Cancer is one of the most emotional signs of the zodiac, it is due to be a time of very big news and intense feelings. You may get engaged and be thrilled or suddenly break up and be very sad, for eclipses bring up these sorts of high contrast situations. Eclipses always provide information that clarifies a situation in a flash, and when it comes, it seems to change the whole complexion of the matter.

An unrelated, outside event may occur spontaneously and simultaneously to force you to make a rapid decision. Even if you had no plans to wed or break up, the eclipse may present information that will almost force you to think about what you need to do.

If you were born on December 31, or within five days of this date, you will likely feel the effects of this eclipse strongly. Life will change dramatically within the coming months of your birthday year.

If your birthday falls far from December 31, you may not notice much happening. In your case, you may have already felt the illuminating quality of the eclipses last summer, on July 7 or July 21 when eclipses in Capricorn and Cancer first came by. The Capricorns who likely felt those eclipses in July were those born within five days of January 5 and January 18.

Previous eclipses are usually linked to subsequent ones in the same family of signs, so it may be helpful to think back to what transpired in July to see if there are any correlation to events that happened over the last six months to what occurs now.

For example, if on July 7 or 21 your steady partner started to interview for an important job involving international work overseas, this month your partner may be awarded that job. Suddenly you both may decide to get married sooner than you had planned so that you could start your life together in a foreign country.

That’s one example of many possible ways things will play out, but it illustrates how outside events can radically change plans in your personal life. Eclipses really do speed up timetables if the Sun or other planets in your chart are touched in close mathematical degree by the eclipse. This is a lunar eclipse and therefore is a full moon and will bring an end of an era.

Saturn will be in hard angle to Pluto, Venus, and the Sun, so you’ll have to accept things with a powerful sense of practicality. That is the only way to go through this eclipse – as sensibly, unemotionally, and practically as possible. Afterward you may find you grew up quite a bit, quite suddenly – it does not matter how old you are, either.

There is some indication – but I am not absolutely sure this will relate to you – that your exciting and growing career prospects have threatened your partner and could be a source of tension. See how this fits. If it doesn’t, discard it, but I do feel you will have to spend a great deal more time on your career in the coming three years, and your partner will have to accept that truth. You are in an exceptional period of proving yourself and finally have the chance to fly very high if you do. Hopefully your partner will be confident enough to accept what is happening in your life, and not feel deficient in comparison. In the end, your partner will either be part of the solution or the problem – this month you will see which is the case.

The next eclipse, due January 15, will bring you a fantastic chance to make a fresh start. It’s a solar eclipse that will open a new door that will feel exciting and even thrilling.

The universe uses eclipses to get us moving so that we won’t get stagnant or too complacent. If left to our own devices, we might never volunteer for change, so the universe sets up conditions so that we do.

An eclipse will bring whatever we need to shake us out of our rut, to see life with new eyes and in the larger picture.

No matter what happens, if you are to experience an ending, you will have to take a message of an eclipse seriously. With an eclipse there will be no chance of going back to the earlier situation because the door will be locked shut. Eclipses speak with finality. Don’t even consider losing your dignity by trying to get someone to reconsider his or her decision, in any area of life. Later, after you adjust to changes, you will say you would never want to go back to the past.

One important point: It is never wise to initiate anything on an eclipse. You must RESPOND but not initiate. Keep that in mind. Things don’t always work out as anticipated when decisions are made under an eclipse, especially when Mercury and Mars are retrograde. That still doesn’t mean you can get the decision reversed or pretend things didn’t happen – eclipses give weight and gravitas to all matters that come up then.

Not all eclipses will affect you. For example, this month, the December 31 lunar eclipse will affect those born on that day or within five days of that date. Next month, the January 15 eclipse, arriving as a solar new moon, will open a new path and will affect those readers born within five days on either side of January 15.

Typically, we have four eclipses in a given year but this year we had five in all. They arrived in 2009 on January 26, February 9, July 7, July 21 and the last to come on December 31. The first two eclipses were in the Leo-Aquarius and affected your finances. The ones that arrived in July started a new trend and focused on you, your needs and emotional life, and showed you what you need in a relationship to make you truly happy.

This focus on Capricorn will continue in 2010 with three more eclipses, due on January 15, June 26, and July 11. In 2011, the final two will arrive on January 4 and July 1.

This month’s eclipse will affect those Capricorns who are in a close, committed romantic relationship, but if you are not, you may not feel the affects as strongly. This eclipse will test the strength of all close ties, so if you are in a formal business partnership, or have an agent, manager, or other business collaboration, you may find that that alliance is the one to bring revelations.

Single and not dating Capricorns will find that love is a bit unstable, due to the harsh angle of Saturn to Venus. Venus will tour Capricorn from December 25 to January 19, so you will get lots of favor from Venus in time, but not in December.

You are now in a very critical phase, for Saturn has entered Libra for the first time since late 1980 to mid-1983. This teacher-taskmaster planet will remain in your lofty house of career honors and achievement until October 2012, with a brief exception of April 7 through July 21, 2010, when Saturn will back into Virgo, the place it’s been over the past two years. Those 14 weeks will fly by, but they will give you a chance to perfect your strategy.

For the aggregate of the time, your thinking will be centered on your career reputation and the contribution you will make to your industry over the next three years. Capricorn is considered one sign most intent on getting ahead, so this is truly the moment you’ve awaited. Saturn’s presence suggests that you’ll aim for a high profile position that some VIPs will not be completely sure you will be ready to fill. Your job is to show you are eager and able to learn, and because you stay focused, are a quick study. You won’t have much time to get ready, so it looks like you’ll have on the job training. Saturn often requires sacrifice, so you will have to put in long hours, and you won’t see the fullness of the rewards until late 2012.

The interesting part about Saturn crossing the very top of your chart, as you have now, is that you may decide to undergo a radical career change. At first you may deny that anything is afoot in your career, or if you see shifts, bemoan the changes. That’s normal. Then, however, you will step with the program because Saturn won’t give you much of a choice. Certain doors will close, but new ones will open. Saturn likes to twist our arm until we say, “OK, OK, I will try a different method! I see the old ways are over!” As my mother used to say, “Man learns through pain.” Ha, ha, we do learn that way best – and fast!

When Saturn comes by with his tough love tactics, we will do anything to get Saturn to stop pounding us. Admittedly, this planet may use extreme tactics, but they are effective. Getting people to change isn’t easy, but remarkably after Saturn comes by, the vast majority of us start to see the idea of survival of the fittest in action. Those who are flexible and quick see when change is the only option.

The minute you try something new, Saturn will reward you, and that will be true even if you don’t come up with the right answer the first time. Saturn will want to encourage you, and simply by diverting from the tried and true methods – the ones that are a bit old and worn out – you will see you are “getting warmer.” As I wrote a few months ago, the sooner you adopt an experimental attitude, the sooner you will ease comfortably into your new role. Don’t worry about this – when Saturn comes by, the gains you make stay with you forever. So while you may enter into this kicking and screaming, later you may laugh about your experience and admit that although Saturn made you go through a few tests, it was only for good!

Not every Capricorn will feel changes immediately. Those born near December 21-25 will feel them first, but remember that Saturn works in a gradual way.

Now that I have covered a very long-range trend, let’s turn back to this month. While you let Saturn settle into his new house in your chart, you will have other, sweeter, things in life to keep you occupied.

As you begin the month, the full moon on November 2 should be a pure delight, for this full moon will fall in the sensuous sign of Taurus and tenderly light your fifth house of true love. If you haven’t met someone special yet, this magnificent full moon may be your moment when it happens, so be sure to circulate, even if you are a little doubtful that you’d meet anyone new. If you are attached, then this full moon will allow you to enjoy life more, most likely with your one-and-only partner. Of course a full moon always brings things to culmination, so if your partner has something to say, you’ll know it now, but let’s think positively. It does look like you’ll enjoy early November.

All full moons have a wide area of influence, so you may already have had a thrilling moment over the weekend of October 31-November 1, or you may be looking ahead to your night of a million twinkling stars on November 5 or 6. (It is possible it may come as late as November 7, but it seems doubtful that this event would come that late in the week.) You seem concerned about the money, but hopefully you were (or will be) able to cut a few corners to enjoy this social phase that seems destined to come.

If your birthday falls on December 31 or within five days of this date, you will just love this full moon. Let me assure you, however, that every Capricorn will have something special to enjoy this weekend.

There are two other possible outcomes from this full moon. First, if you are an actor, work in a creative field, or if you have a creative hobby, you appear to be finishing up that project. Perhaps you will now be ready to show it to the world. If you are working on a creative idea, money may again come into play. You may have to change your creative plan a bit if costs have mounted too high – see how things play out.

The other possibility at this full moon may be that you talk about having a baby and make a solid plan to do so, or that you are already pregnant and due any moment. Babies tend to come on full moons, so hopefully you have your bags packed!

Matters involving pregnancy, birth, adoption, or the care for children you already have could be top of mind on November 2. The stork may be visiting soon! If you have children, you may be thinking about one child in particular. Perhaps your child will make you proud or that you will do something special for your child, such as find the right school or tutor for him, or help your child complete a fascinating, but complicated homework project.

Travel is also indicated now, and as a matter of fact, you may take a long trip on Tuesday, November 10, or over the weekend of November 13-14. Any of these days would be perfect for a little jaunt and it doesn’t matter if you go for business or pleasure. It does seem your trip will be one that won’t take you too far, but no matter. The Sun and Uranus will be acting like loving little relatives to remind you that you’ve been working too hard and need a refreshing change of scene. November 10, 13, and 14 each deserve a gold star for travel and also for your superb ability to communicate clearly and in an original way.

You will be back to socializing mode just after the new moon in Scorpio in your eleventh house of hopes and wishes on November 16. This is a gorgeous new moon, and it will help you sit back, laugh, exchange a few jokes, and connect with friends. Venus will be touring this house, making for silky smooth encounters, and the events you attend are likely to be “A list” happenings populated with attractive, stylish people that will generate lots of conversation in the air. You might mix business into these events, for a new moon in Scorpio is about money – and your networking may help you make more.

You will have two weeks in which to take full advantage of this new moon November 16, but why not start immediately? In your travels around, you may make a new friend. You might even make a new friend online, as Uranus, the planet associated with electricity and the digital age, will send this new moon and Sun a powerful, friendly golden beam from your third house of communication. You might also join an online community, perhaps one that centers on a topic dear to your heart, and learn quite a bit in the process. If you want to join a new club, this is the time to do so.

If you were born on January 15 plus or minus five days, you will reap the biggest benefits from this new moon November 16.

Financially, you seem to have entered a high spending phase, where you will be spending quite a bit of money over several months. If you are not spending, then you may be negotiating a financial deal that will take some time to settle, such as the division of property in a divorce or a big business deal.

Still, when it comes to money, things will look up in November. Last month, on October 13, Jupiter, the good fortune planet, moved forward in your earned income sector, after having been retrograde since June 15. If you feel that the past months haven’t been great for your finances, that would be understandable, but things are changing.

Even if you were happy with your income lately, you are about to see a chance to bring in more cash. One of your best days of the month will be November 27-29, when Mercury and Jupiter will be beautifully in sync. Your luck may arrive in the form of a check, but it may alternatively show up in the form of a wonderful bargain or the ability to buy something expensive below retail.

Speaking of shopping, Mercury will retrograde from December 26 to January 16, but you will see things begin to go slow down in an annoying way as soon as December 9. Do your holiday shopping this month, and finish up no later than the date stated, December 9. Retailers will keep stocks low this year, so you may find the perfect gift item only to be told it is completely sold out. You may encounter problems with shipping too, if you wait, so wouldn’t you rather put the funds into the gift itself? This year is not like prior years, so shop early!

Some of the sweetest days of the month will occur in the last week. On Tuesday, November 24, you will have an outstanding day to seal a plan or promise to someone. Any action you take on November 25 will have long range potential. Saturn, your ruler, will be in gorgeous angle to the Sun, so it will be a very fortunate day. Use it to your advantage. You might sign papers on this day too, and it would be a fine idea.

Wednesday, November 25, will brings Venus in Scorpio into perfect angle to Uranus in Pisces, a lovely aspect for a lively time with friends, and also for taking a little trip not too far from home. If single, you may flirt with someone new – and be happy to discover that you both want to see one another again. This will be a sexy evening, and with the moon in Pisces, it would have a touch of poetry, too.

In the United States, Thanksgiving falls on November 26, and happily, Mercury, planet of travel, will be in a perfect angle to Mars, planet of action, making it an ideal day to visit family or friends.

Even if you aren’t in the US and celebrating Turkey Day, this should be a very positive day to be on the road. One day when travel is not indicated, however, will be Monday, November 30, when Uranus is at odds with Mercury – go earlier, go later, but not on this day. This is not the day to shop, barter, or to negotiate deals either.

i have always been a believer that education is only the answer to poverty. unfortunately, many Filipinos, and other children around the world has been deprived from their right to be educated formally. the main reason? poverty. they have no other means to suffice the budget on education for their family. let me share you my story..

on my third year in highschool, our family had a financial crisis, causing my studies to suffer. so i had no choice but to stop going to school. i never opted to transfer in a public school because i dont want to experience any “culture shock”. so i became an “out-of-school youth”.

at 14, i experienced to work in a grocery store as a saleslady, bagger and a merchandiser at the same time. it was really a tough job for a teen like me during that time. but still i was happy because i was helping my family.

i was out of school for two long years, and just finished second year highschool then. it was really painful to me but i have to be resilient during tough times.

fortunately, a great opportunity came into me as i went to my previous highschool in alabang. when they learned that i didnt continue on my highshool, they referred me to the DECS Division Office in Alabang to take the PEPT or the Philippine Educational Placemet Test. it’s an acceleration examination for people who has been out of school for a long time that will give them an opportunity to skip a certain level higher from what they have achieved. it depends on the capability of the examiner to where he can accelerate himself, based on stock knowledge and logical reasoning.

and gladly, i passed. i was accelerated from second year highschool to college level, skipping 2 years of third and fourth year in highschool. that’s why i never experienced JS Prom ( very unfortunate, lol!). it was such a blessing because the years that i stopped from school just became an offset of what i missed in highschool. it’s like i never stopped from school! i have saved a lot of time, energy and money from skipping the two-year highschool levels! and i consider that as one of my greatest achievements.

that was a major turning point in my life. so i entered college without any knowledge about chemistry and physics! i only have the urge and exitement to finally go back to school, and learn the academics! i had a tough first year in college so, i had to double the effort to learn. english and literature was never a problem to me back then, but when it comes to numbers? please spare me! (haha lol!) through the help of my friends, and my hard work, i was able to finish college in electronics engineering. then, had my work afterwards. there you go..

PREPARING FOR PEPENG

our country, specifically the National Capital Region was recently hit by a typhoon named locally by PAGASA as “ondoy”. its international name was ketsana. the said storm left the NCR and other areas around it flooded almost roof-high.
the typhoon did not spare anyone, even the rich people who lives in villages around Metro Manila.
it was a big disaster that the national government declared the affected areas under the state of calamity.
till now, a lot of areas in other provinces affected by the typhoon are still in flood. most of them is still waist-high.
our country has not recovered yet from the turmoil, and another super typhoon is coming, locally named “pepeng” and “parma” as its international name. we cannot do anything to stop it, and all we can do is to prepare for the worst.

  • first, we must secure the basic tools or gadget that we need when the typhoon comes.

we need candles, matches or lighters, food, cellphones, flashlights, drinking water, a transistor radio, and other communication gadgets.

  • then we must put in a plastic bag or in any bag that cannot be penetrated by water all our important documents, ID’s, money, and all the important things that could possibly fit our bag, that we can possibly carry when we need to evacuate and leave our houses.

life is the most important in this world. there’s always an opportunity to start all over again.
let’s all pray that the typhoon wont do any harm.
